New Service Development

 

The desire to support the development of the photovoltaic (PV) technologies is the driving force behind TÜV Rheinland PTL activities. To that end, we constantly identify new service/research areas and complete the proof-of-concept evaluation/research. For instance, the following services are under way:

 

- Power rating of PV modules per IEC61853-1 standard (just released)

 

- SRCC rating of solar thermal (hot water) systems

 

- Independent monitoring and reporting of concentrated solar power (CSP; solar thermal electric) plants and residential rooftop PV systems
